Constructing complex 10 Pt rosettes is a pleasure. Transforming 10 Pt rosettes into perpetual patterns that could extend to infinity is a passion! This little panel of interlocking ten-folds started off as a tiling experiment to extend the layout of a classical 10-fold zellij pattern (analysis and layout taught by Richard Henry). This pattern with rosettes and half-rosettes first took shape in my mind in tones of shimmering blue, gold and iridescent pearl. Perhaps the palette was inspired by my visit to the blue city, Chefchaouan, or by the luminous faience mosaics of Yazd. After the heat and bustle of the Fes medina, what a pleasure to reconstruct a 10-fold rosette on the shady roof terrace of my riad with a glass of mint tea!
